Police recovered a rifle and a handgun Monday evening after a 21-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in South Seattle.

Around 7:30 PM, police received reports of a shooting in the 7000 block of Rainier Avenue South. Officers found the 21-year-old victim lying on the ground in a parking lot. Medics arrived and transported him to Harborview Medical Center.
While investigating at the scene, officers learned someone had taken a firearm from the shooting scene to a nearby apartment.

Police obtained and served a warrant at the apartment and recovered a pistol, rifle and ammunition.
Detectives are investigating.
