Spring Heat Is Here: Warmer, Sunny Days Forecast In Washington
Puget Sound is on track to break into the 70s by Friday and could inch toward the 80s over the weekend.
SEATTLE — Warm, sunny days are here to stay, with a steady rise in temperatures in the forecast and barely a cloud in sight heading toward the weekend. According to the National Weather Service, Monday's afternoon highs were just the beginning, and the week is primed to get more pleasant with each passing day.
Pesky northwest winds are likely to endure through Wednesday but should east after that, according to the latest outlook, laying the groundwork for an even warmer stretch of weather. Seattle and Tacoma could hit the 70s by Friday and may even flirt with the record books by Saturday.

Forecasters expect Saturday will be the hottest day in the week, with temperatures hitting at least the mid-70s. There is a chance that things could trend even warmer, nearing the record of 80 degrees recorded at Sea-Tac Airport in 2016.
A cooler onshore flow may begin to shift things by Sunday, with temperatures falling into the 60s and a chance of rain returning by Monday.
