Starbucks Opens Princi In Seattle, First U.S. Standalone Bakery
What's Princi? It's a bakery founded in Milan in 1986 specializing in Italian bread and pastries.

SEATTLE, WA - Starbucks opened the first standalone Princi bakery in the U.S. in Seattle on Tuesday, promising to immerse patrons in a Milanese "bakery experience."
What is Princi? It's a bakery founded in Milan in 1986 by baker Rocco Princi. As an investor, Starbucks is opening Princi locations across the globe. The first U.S. bakery opened in the Capitol Hill Starbucks Roastery Reserve (and later in the Shanghai roastery) in December. The next two standalone Princi bakeries will open in Chicago and New York.
"Designed with ovens as the centerpiece of his stores, Rocco Princi and his team bring the theatre of baking to life using simple, yet sacred artisanal techniques, and exceptional ingredients sourced specifically for each fresh food offering," Starbucks said in a press release last December about the Princi opening on Capitol Hill.
