Strong Thunderstorms Moving Into Seattle Area; Hail Possible

Powerful storms were moving into the south King County and Seattle areas around 3:45 p.m. Thursday.

SEATTLE, WA - The National Weather Service forecast indicates that strong thunderstorms are moving into the Seattle area. The storm system is approaching from the south, and will likely bring rain, thunder, lightning, and possibly hail. At 3:45 p.m., thunder could be heard as far south as Renton and Kent.

Meteorologists are warning Puget Sound residents to move inside when you hear thunder. The storms might be stronger toward the Cascade foothills, meteorologists warn.
