Students from Evergreen Academy™ Elementary School Deliver Gifts

Fourth grade students from Evergreen Academy Elementary School in Bothell recently delivered donated gifts to support Childhaven, which helps local families in need. The donations were the results of a collaborative gift drive between students at Evergreen Academy Preschools in Bothell and Kirkland, Lake Forest Park Montessori and Evergreen Academy Elementary School. The schools hosted giving trees, where students and families purchased items listed on selected tags for children in need during the holidays. During the visit, students helped unload the donations and learned about how Childhaven helps local families throughout the community. Through their efforts, students learned the importance of helping others, especially during the holiday season.

Childhaven is a nonprofit organization that provides healing care to abused, neglected and chemically affected babies, toddlers and preschoolers. The organization also works with parents to help them learn how to care for and nurture their children and to manage their behavior positively and consistently.
