The Sun Returns This Week: Puget Sound Forecast

It was a dark, rainy weekend, but forecasts indicate it'll be nice and sunny this week.

SEATTLE, WA - This is a little unexpected at this time of year, but the forecast for the upcoming week actually looks pretty bright. Every day this week will be partly, mostly, or just plain old sunny, according to the National Weather Service. Of course, there's a bit of a downside: temperatures will start dropping majorly by Friday.

Here's the outlook for the upcoming workweek, according to the NWS:

Seattle-Bellevue

Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 61. South southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the morning.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 47. Light and variable wind becoming north northeast around 5 mph after midnight.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 60. North northwest wind 5 to 11 mph.

Tuesday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48.

Wednesday: A 30 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 57.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 45.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 58.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 44.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 58.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 44.

Puyallup-Lakewood

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 62. Light and variable wind.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 41. Northeast wind 3 to 5 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 63. North northeast wind 5 to 9 mph.

Tuesday Night: Clear, with a low around 43.

Wednesday: A 30 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 60.
