Expect a cool, rainy week around Western Washington, with a possible sun appearance at the end of the week.

SEATTLE, WA - The forecast for Mother's Day weekend said that it was going to be rainy and cloudy for a majority of the time. That turned out to be slightly off, with much of the region seeing a lot of sun (mixed, of course, with showers) on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Let's hope this week's forecast is inaccurate, because it shows a lot of rain, cool temperatures, and clouds

Seattle-Bellevue

Monday: Rain likely, mainly after 11am. Cloudy, with a high near 56. South wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Monday night: Rain. Low around 47. South wind 14 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Tuesday: Rain before 11am, then showers after 11am. High near 54. North wind 16 to 21 mph becoming west southwest 7 to 12 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Tuesday night: A 40 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a low around 47. Light and variable wind becoming south 12 to 17 mph after midnight.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 60.

Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 64.

Thursday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 69.

Friday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 51.

Monday: Rain likely, mainly after 11am. Cloudy, with a high near 57. South southwest wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
