Suspect Sought After Shooting On I-5 Near West Seattle Bridge
Troopers said a man was shot in the leg by another driver while traveling on Interstate 5 in Seattle early Monday.
SEATTLE — Washington State Patrol troopers are searching for a shooter who struck another driver while traveling northbound on Interstate 5 early Monday. According to WSP, the victim called 911 around 1 a.m. and reported a driver in a red Honda Civic fired several rounds at his SUV in the northbound lanes of I-5 near the West Seattle Bridge.
The victim exited the freeway and met with troopers and Seattle police officers at 4th Ave North and Denny Way. Troopers said the driver suffered a gunshot wound to his leg and was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. A woman in the car was uninjured.
As of Monday afternoon, troopers had yet to locate the vehicle or the person wanted in connection with the shooting. Anyone who witnessed the shooting or with information that could help solve the case can contact WSP detectives via e-mail.
