Search Suspended For Teen Presumed Drowned Near Olallie State Park
Emergency personnel were called to Olallie State Park Sunday night after two teens went over a waterfall.
NORTH BEND, WA - The King County Sheriff's Office says that a 16-year-old boy likely drowned Sunday night after going over a waterfall along the south fork of the Snoqualmie River near Olallie State Park. Emergency personnel were called to the state park around 6:30 p.m. Sunday after the teen was missing for about an hour. The teen was swimming with two other friends when he went missing.
Divers continued to search throughout the day Monday, but the search was called off in the afternoon due to dangerous conditions on the river.
According to the King County Sheriff's Office, two teens were swimming above a a waterfall along the Snoqualmie River when they lost control and went fell over it. The other teen was able to swim to safety.

The King County Marine unit responded to the scene and searched the area, but divers could not enter the water due to dangerous conditions.
The accident happened in the area of scenic Weeks Falls. Olallie State Park is located off of I-90 near exit 38.
