Terrifying Everett Home Invasion: Seattle Man Turns Himself In
A suspect has turned himself in after video of a terrifying home invasion circulated on social media.

SEATTLE, WA - A Seattle man has turned himself in after video from a terrifying home invasion he was allegedly involved in was widely shared on social media last week, police say.
The Snohomish County Sheriff's office reported Monday morning that the 26-year-old flagged down a sheriff's captain on Friday and said that he was one of the suspects in the video. The sheriff's office released the video last Wednesday, which shows two men kick down the door and enter a woman's bedroom. The suspects then kick in another door to a room where the 45-year-old woman was hiding; she begins screaming and they rob her of jewelry and her phone.
The robbery happened around 10:30 a.m. at a home in Everett near Mariner High School.

The suspect who turned himself in was arrested on suspicion of second-degree strong-arm robbery, police say, but the other suspect is still at large.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Shari Ireton said that the suspect likely turned himself in due to the attention the video received in the media and on social media.
"It is believed that the pressure created by wide exposure of the suspect’s photo on various social media and news stories channels led to the suspect giving himself up," she wrote in a statement.
