Toddler, Teen Injured In Tukwila Shooting

Tukwila Police said the two boys were rushed to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition early Wednesday.

TUKWILA, WA — A shooting in Tukwila early Wednesday left two boys with life-threatening injuries, according to police. Officers responding to a reported "illegal discharge" arrived on the 14400 block of Tukwila International Boulevard shortly after 1 a.m.

In a brief news release Wednesday, the Tukwila Police Department said the first officers on the scene found evidence of a shooting but could not find the victims. Just a few minutes later, police learned two boys had arrived at Highline Hospital with gunshot wounds. Police said the victims, ages 2 and 17, were in critical condition and rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for further treatment.

More details on the circumstances surrounding the shooting, or any outstanding suspects, were not immediately available. Tukwila's major crimes unit is investigating the shooting and encourages anyone with information to contact them via e-mail or by phone at 206-241-2121.
