Travel to "uncanny worlds" of Romania during November film fest

Celebrate the 5th Edition of the Romanian Film Festival in Seattle.

In tune with the Halloween spirit of the first week in November, travel to Romania and its "Uncanny Worlds" November 2-4 at SIFF Cinema Uptown.

This year's films will take you on a journey through the unusual, unfamiliar, ineffable, incom
prehensible, unfathomable, inscrutable, and the unclear. More than ever, Romanian films reflect the uncanny aspects of reality, history, politics, and everyday life, as well as spirituality, folklore, and traditions.

The 2018 lineup is a visual feast of mesmerizing features and documentaries, tackling subjects from demon hunters and haunted mansions to rediscovering the joys of life and using art as activism. Festival guests scheduled to attend include actress and filmmaker Elena Beuca and director Daniel Sandu.
There will also be a special exhibition by artist Daniel Ursache, titled "Uncanny Figments", hosted by A/NT Gallery. Opening Night will be November 3, and the show will be on display through the end of the month.

The full lineup will be announced mid-September.
