UPDATE: Snow Expected 4 - 6 p.m. In Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma
The National Weather Service is estimating that the storm will creep into the region during rush hour.

SEATTLE, WA - The National Weather Service is saying that snow will enter the Seattle-Bellevue-Tacoma area between 4 and 6 p.m. Thursday night. The timing of the storm had been a lingering question, and on Thursday morning some forecasts were saying snow wouldn't fall in Seattle until between 7 and 10 p.m.

Near 2:30 p.m., weather spotters in Chehalis measured 1 inch of snow in that city. The Washington State Patrol was reporting fast-moving snow at the Lewis/Thurston County line.

School districts and city government were also beginning to cancel night meetings and activities. The Renton and University Place school districts canceled all after-school activities, and Puyallup schools canceled a band concert.
