USA Can Stand Up for Freedom
Christians in the Middle East or Muslims in China all need the freedom of religion we enjoy so they can stay in their own homelands.

This hijabi gramma’s packing bags to fly to Washington D.C. Why? Pressure from Washington D.C. helped an 83-year-old man get out of jail on March 18th. Convicted under the intolerant Blasphemy Laws of Pakistan, Abdul Shakoor had served over 3 years for selling books that support the religious views of our Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Our community will go on advocating for all who experience religious persecution because it's peaceful and useful. Over 80 Ahmadi Muslim delegates from all over the USA will be in Capitol Hill offices Monday, April 1st. We will be meeting members of the House and Senate to share our concerns over the plight of Uyghur Muslims in China, Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar, and Christians in the Middle East. Our Community supports legislative measures to ensure accountability and protection.
Separately, we will hold a special Ahmadiyya Muslim Congressional Caucus Reception. We invite Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, Congressman Rick Larsen, Congresswoman Suzan DelBene, and Congresswoman Kim Schrier to join with Congressman Adam Smith in the valuable work of this caucus to protect persecuted religious minorities.
