SEE: 'Bumbling Burglar' Fails To Rip Off Bar, Runs Away With Nothing

"This guy is one of the worst burglars we have seen in quite a while," the Pierce County Sheriff's office said of the burglary.

PARKLAND, WA - In this case, you can fault this person for trying.

A hapless "bumbling" burglar recently tried (in a variety of ways) to break in to a Parkland bar, and then couldn't find anything inside to steal. So, he left - by climbing through a vent in the roof.

Surveillance video captured the entire dumb caper on video, which happened around 6 a.m. on June 22. First, the burglar tries to break a window with a rock. When that failed, he tried to punch the window. When that failed, he tried body-slamming window. He finally got it to break with a few swift kicks.

Upon entering the bar on his hands and knees, he starts searching for things to steal. First, he goes after lottery pull tabs, then the cash register, and then the storage room. After coming up empty, he decides to ditch the whole thing.

But instead of leaving through the window he tried oh-so-hard to break, he climbed out a vent and onto the roof. Police wonder if fell off the roof before fleeing the scene on foot.

But the icing on the cake: The name of the bar is the Hard Luck Bar & Grill. Hard luck for the burglar, good luck for the bar.

The Pierce County Sheriff is trying to track down the burglar, however, because it's possible he's been successful robbing other businesses.
