The day after Christmas is slated to stay sunny and dry for most before a few rain showers return Thursday night and into the weekend. Earlier forecasts left a small chance of a rain/snow mix in Pierce County and on the Eastside. However, the latest outlook shows any moisture will likely stay as rain. According to the National Weather Service, snow levels will remain in the 1,000 to 2,000 feet range, so there is a chance for a few inches of snow at pass level without notable accumulation.
