Washington Dad Builds Son Amazing Backyard Rollercoaster

Oak Harbor dad Scott Brazelton - a Navy pilot - has built an incredible backyard rollercoaster for his son's enjoyment.

OAK HARBOR, WA - A local dad has built the ultimate backyard toy for his son: a replica of a Disneyland rollercoaster.

"We went to Disneyland and he just loved this really simple coaster that they had there," dad and Navy fighter pilot Scott Brazelton told KOMO News.

Originally, Brazelton had planned to build his 3-year-old son, Wyatt, a treehouse - but he decided to "just go for it" and build the rollercoaster instead.

Believer it or not, there are actually books about how to build backyard rollercoasters, which is how Brazelton built such an authentic ride. The coaster took him about three months to build, and it gave him a chance to spend time with his son. As a Navy pilot, Brazelton's work frequently takes him away from home.
