Week Ahead Forecast: More Snow For Seattle Area?

SEATTLE, WA - Winter's not done with Western Washington yet.

According to the National Weather Service, there's a chance for snow early this week. It's not likely to accumulate much, but it may cause hazardous driving conditions. Aside from that, it's going to be a wet week overall around Puget Sound.

Here's the National Weather Service forecast for the Seattle-Bellevue area this week:

Monday: A chance of rain and snow showers before 10am, then rain showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. South southeast wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Monday Night: Rain showers likely before 10pm, then a slight chance of rain and snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. East wind 5 to 9 mph becoming south southeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Tuesday: A slight chance of rain and snow showers before 10am, then rain showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 45. South wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Tuesday Night: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a low around 40. South southwest wind 17 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Wednesday: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 47. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Wednesday Night: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low around 41. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Thursday: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 48.

Thursday Night: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low around 42. Breezy.

Friday: Rain. Cloudy, with a high near 48.
