Western Standard Saloon Lager Seattle Launch Event

Seattle launch event drew more than 400 attendees on May 13th and showcased a concert featuring Washington Native Noah Gundersen

Inspired by beer that was served in pre-prohibition saloons, Western Standard, a High West endeavor, launched in Seattle. Western Standard is a sessionable barrel-aged lager blended with beer aged in High West bourbon barrels.

In celebration of Western Standard’s Seattle launch, the Washington Chapter of the United States Bartenders’ Guild (USBG) hosted a concert featuring local Emmy-nominated American indie folk singer-songwriter Noah Gundersen, recognized for his title track featured in Sons of Anarchy and The Vampire Diaries. The concert drew more than 400 attendees and took place on May 13, 2019, at 7 p.m. on 925 E Pike St, Seattle, WA 98122. Gundersen performed his top hits and showcased new music at the event. Proceeds benefited the Washington Chapter of USBG, a nonprofit that aims to elevate and educate the community to embrace the culture of hospitality.

The launch event also featured a Q&A with High West Whiskey Founder David Perkins and members of the USBG. Perkins shared the saloon-style lager that reflects Western Standard’s passion for the brewing history of the west as attendees enjoyed an exclusive tasting. Western Standard features corn, rye and barley, – a riff on a whiskey mashbill – which influences the aroma, flavor and body. With an approachable 5.2% ABV, it’s the perfect everyday lager for those seeking a premium, complex and more interesting beer.
