Wet Week Ahead For Puget Sound: Forecast

SEATTLE, WA - Look on the bright side (or the dark and stormy side, perhaps): we really need rain. Almost all of Western Washington is in a moderate to severe drought, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor.

This week, we'll get a nice dose of wet weather, with showers possible every day (except Wednesday), especially at the beginning of the week.

Here's the full forecast for the week ahead from the National Weather Service:

Monday: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 66. South wind 6 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Monday Night: Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. South southwest wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Tuesday: A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. Southwest wind 9 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Tuesday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. Southwest wind 12 to 17 mph becoming southeast 5 to 10 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 62.

Wednesday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50.

Thursday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 61.

Thursday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51.

Friday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 62.
