This Is What Richard Sherman Thinks About Donald Trump
The cornerback's comments come days after a win over the New England Patriots, whose quarterback supported Trump.
SEATTLE, WA - Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman is no Donald Trump supporter - in fact, he thinks Trump is "the opposite" of an example for children.
Sherman's most recent column in The Player's Tribune, which was published Thursday, is mostly about the good examples that Sherman's mother and father set for him. His parents set incredibly positive examples around hard work and charity, Sherman writes, and those examples helped him grow up to become a scholar-athlete.
He contrasts those examples to the ones set by Trump.

"The way that our president-elect spoke about Muslim and Hispanic people, especially in terms of immigration, was appalling," Sherman wrote. "And at some point, I’ll have to explain to my son and daughter that that’s not how you talk about people — that everybody is equal and everybody has a place in our society, regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity or sexuality. No matter what, you treat people with respect."
