When Puget Sound Will Hit 90 This Week: NWS Forecast

Dangerous heat returns to Puget Sound this week.

SEATTLE, WA - Puget Sound got up into the mid-80s on Sunday. That's just a primer for another extremely hot week.

Wednesday and Thursday will be the hottest days with temperatures up around 90. On top of that, there won't be a cloud in the sky, which might make it feel hotter than it is.

Here's the week-ahead forecast for Puget Sound from the National Weather Service:

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 85. Light and variable wind becoming north northwest 9 to 14 mph in the afternoon.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 61. North wind 9 to 16 mph becoming east northeast after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph.

Primary Election Day: Sunny, with a high near 86. Northeast wind 7 to 16 mph becoming north northwest in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph.

Tuesday Night: Clear, with a low around 61. Northeast wind 9 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 88.

Wednesday Night: Clear, with a low around 63.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 89.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 63.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83.
