Whoops! Seattle Parks Truck Falls Into Green Lake

A Seattle parks and rec department truck accidentally went for a dip in Green Lake Thursday afternoon.

SEATTLE, WA - Anyone who lives in Seattle knows how popular Green Lake is. It just seems like everyone wants to get in on the fun down there, whether it's strolling around the perimeter path or having a picnic on a dock. Apparently Green Lake is so enticing, that even non-human motorized objects want to hang out there.

On Thursday afternoon, a Seattle parks and recreation department truck took a dip in Green Lake - accidentally, of course. The state Department of Ecology responded to the scene for cleanup, and said that the truck "found its way in" to the lake.

Luckily, the driver wasn't hurt during the incident, and, importantly, neither was the lake. State crews deployed a boom to contain any spilled oil or gas, but there was none. Looks like the pickup was only able to get its toes (rear tire) wet.
