Why This Weekend Will Be So Beautiful In Puget Sound

It's going to be relatively warm for late January this weekend. More importantly, it will be quite sunny.

SEATTLE, WA - If you've been wanting to get out of town - for a hike in the Cascades or a beach day along the Pacific Coast - you should go this weekend.

A ridge of high pressure will hover over the Pacific Northwest for the next five or so days, keeping clouds and rain far north of us. That will open the door for a mostly sunny and very dry weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Puget Sound, the Pacific Coast, and the San Juan Islands will all be dry this weekend with temperatures in the low 50s (slightly cooler in the San Juans in the high 40s).
