SEATTLE, WA — Police say a 23-year-old man tried to abduct and kill an ex-girlfriend before leading police on a high-speed chase through several cities Wednesday morning.

According to Bellevue PD, dispatch received a call shortly before 10:30 a.m. On the line, a woman repeatedly whispered her address and left the line open. As officers were en route, the man entered the woman's apartment and broke down the door to the bathroom as she showered.

As law enforcement arrived, they say the man got in his black Jeep and drove it into the building in an attempt to kill her inside. He then drove away, heading down Lake Hills Boulevard then taking Interstate 405 southbound toward Renton.
