Will High Temperatures Last? See The Extended Puget Sound Forecast
The post-Labor Day forecast calls for higher than average September temperatures, according to the National Weather Service.

SEATTLE, WA - Temperatures will cool down later this week, but not before we have to endure more wildfire smoke and at least two more days of 85-degree plus temperatures. Tuesday will be the hottest day of the week with temperatures set to breach 90 degrees along the I-5 corridor south of Seattle.
Here's a look at the week-ahead forecast, according to the National Weather Service:
Seattle-Bellevue
Tuesday: Areas of smoke. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Northeast wind 6 to 8 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night: Areas of smoke before 11pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 65. North wind 7 to 15 mph becoming south southwest after midnight.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Southwest wind 10 to 13 mph.

Wednesday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60.
Thursday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, then a chance of showers after 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Thursday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59.
Friday: A chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 72.
Friday Night: A chance of showers, mainly before 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58.
Puyallup-Lakewood
Tuesday: Areas of smoke. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Tuesday Night: Areas of smoke before 11pm. Areas of fog after 11pm. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 61. North wind 5 to 9 mph becoming west in the evening.
Wednesday: Areas of fog before 11am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 84. West wind 6 to 10 mph.
