Wind Advisory Issued For Western Washington Friday

Wind gusts in the Seattle-Tacoma area could get as high as 50 MPH.

SEATTLE, WA - The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the entire region Friday, from Oak Harbor to Chehalis.

The advisory is in effect until 3 p.m. Friday. Forecasts indicate winds will be 20 to 35 MPH, with gusts up to 50 MPH at times.

The advisory comes after more than 24 hours of rainfall across Western Washington. Forecasters are warning that high winds could cause trees to fall, causing property damage and power outages.
