Winter Storm Watch Issued As 2 Snow Events Approach Puget Sound

Two new snowstorms are set to hit the Seattle-Tacoma area on Sunday and Monday, according to the latest forecasts.

SEATTLE, WA - As predicted, the Puget Sound area is in for a few more rounds of snow over the next few days. A winter storm watch was issued by the National Weather Service Saturday afternoon predicting up to 8 new inches to fall by Tuesday.

Cities from Puyallup to Edmonds were just beginning to dig out from Friday's storm when the new storm watch was issued. An estimated 3 inches will fall by Sunday evening, according to the forecast. Another 5 inches could fall between late Monday morning and Tuesday.

There's a separate winter storm watch in effect for the Cascades in eastern Snohomish, Pierce, and King counties. Higher elevations could see up to 2 feet of new snow.
