Woman And Baby Saved After Car Careens Down Embankment

The car plummeted down a 75-foot embankment on 12th Avenue South.

SEATTLE, WA - A woman and her baby boy were rescued after their car plummeted down a 75-foot embankment, according to KOMO News. The accident occurred on 12th Avenue South near Dr. Jose Rizal Park. Emergency responders were called to the scene at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The baby and the 35-year-old woman were admitted at Harborview Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. The cause of the crash isn't yet known.

Witnesses in the area of the accident ran out to help. One witness said the car had jumped a fence, so witnesses jumped the fence too and brought the baby back up the embankment.
