Woman Dies In West Seattle House Fire: Report

The fire department reported the fire around 5 a.m. Wednesday.

SEATTLE, WA - A woman reportedly died inside a home that burned down in West Seattle early Wednesday morning.

The Seattle fire department reported the fire around 5 a.m. Wednesday along the 9800 block of 44th Avenue Southwest, which is in the Arbor Heights section, just south of Lincoln Park.

KIRO 7 reported that a man at the scene of the fire told him his mother was trapped in the bathroom in the home. Firefighters were unable to safely enter the home to rescue the woman.
