Woman Gives Birth During Damian Marley Concert In Seattle

The baby came into the world Wednesday night at the Neptune Theater during the reggae artist's concert.

SEATTLE, WA — A woman gave birth Wednesday night during a Damian Marley reggae concert at the Neptune Theater in Seattle, according to reports. Perhaps it's appropriate the baby was born there: Marley is the youngest son of the late Bob Marley, and is also known as "Junior Gong."

The baby was born around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in a bathroom stall at the Neptune. Seattle firefighters arrived shortly after the birth and took the woman to Seattle Children's Hospital. Seattle fire spokeswoman Kristin Tinsley told the Associated Press the mom and baby were in good condition.

A manager at the Neptune told KOMO News the baby was the first ever born in the University District venue — the manager also noted that the baby had technically sneaked into the show without a ticket.
