Woman Shot During South Seattle Street Robbery Dies
The woman died after being shot Thursday night near the Othello neighborhood during a robbery.

SEATTLE, WA - A woman shot during a robbery in south Seattle Thursday night died. The shooting happened at 8:30 p.m. and police were still searching for the suspect.
Witnesses told police the woman was walking in the area of 39th Avenue South and South Warsaw Street around 8:30 p.m. when the suspect tried to take her purse. The suspect then shot the woman and fled.
Police were in the area Thursday night still searching for the shooter. The location of the shooting is very close to busy Martin Luther King Jr. Way, and about four blocks south of a busy commercial center at South Graham Street.

The woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center with critical injuries after the shooting , police said.
