WSP Seeks Suspect In Fatal Drive-By Shooting On State Route 509
Troopers said an unknown person shot and killed a driver on southbound SR-509 Sunday night.
SEATTLE, WA — Washington State Patrol detectives are working with local and federal agencies to identify a suspect in a fatal shooting along State Route 509 in South Park Sunday night. According to WSP, a man driving south near the Cloverdale Street exit was shot in the face by a person in another car shortly after 8:30 p.m.
The shooting victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center and died from his injuries Monday. Troopers said the passenger in his vehicle was not able to tell where the shots came from or describe the suspect's vehicle.

WSP said Sunday night's shooting followed two other unrelated shootings on King County roads in just a few days. Two vehicles were reported exchanging gunfire on southbound Interstate 5, near South 188th Street, on Thursday night, leading to a crash. One person was booked into jail after fleeing the scene.
On Sunday afternoon, a 911 caller reported shots being fired into the air from a vehicle on southbound Interstate 5, near State Route 516. Troopers were able to locate the car and arrested all four people inside. The driver was also booked on suspicion of DUI.
