• Social Services fair at Shoreline Library September 4, 2026 (shorelineareanews.com) — Shoreline residents in need of support can connect with dozens of social service providers at a free Community Resource Fair at Shoreline Library on Friday, Sept. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Agencies ranging from the City of Shoreline and Shoreline Fire to health, legal, education, and senior services will be on hand, with no registration required.
• Former Edmonds Mayor Mike Cooper dies (myedmondsnews.com) — Shoreline residents are remembering former firefighter and community leader Mike Cooper, who served with the Shoreline Fire Department, taught fire safety to local students, and went on to roles in the Legislature and Snohomish County. The 74-year-old former Edmonds mayor died Aug. 20 in Elma, surrounded by family, and is remembered for his decades of public service and dedication to loved ones.
