• Fire in apartment laundry room (shorelineareanews.com) — Shoreline Fire crews quickly contained a laundry-room fire in an apartment building on the 1100 block of N 200th Street, preventing it from spreading beyond one affected unit and causing no injuries. Investigators traced the blaze to dryer ducting, and firefighters are urging residents to clean internal lint traps and exterior vents regularly to avoid similar emergencies in Shoreline homes.
   

• Grounded in the Midst of Chaos - nervous system and mindfulness series October 2026 (shorelineareanews.com) — A six-week mindfulness and nervous system series is coming to Shoreline College this October, giving local adults a chance to build practical stress-management tools close to home. Led by coach Jigna Patel, the Tuesday evening sessions blend breathwork, somatic practices, and nervous system education in a small, welcoming group setting.
