There is a wonderful and educational opportunity to volunteer next Saturday (Feb 5th) at the Crib to Classroom Conference in Shoreline.
We are in need of room hosts for each session. These volunteers will greet participants, give them their proof of completion, make other short announcements, and gather the evaluations at the end. This is both a great way to volunteer and to learn from the conference sessions for free! You can volunteer in the morning only, afternoon only, or all day. The full brochure is attached.
Benefits for You: A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. The registration fee will be waived. The theme of the conference is "Crossing the Bridge Together" and many of the workshops relate directly to supporting children and families in the transition from pre-K to the K-12 system. The conference features Bette Hyde, Director, Department of Early Learning, as keynote speaker, and a wide selection of morning and afternoon workshops (including one lead by Dr. Hyde in the morning). Five hours of STARS credits will be granted for participating in the conference.
