The Women’s University Club of Seattle Foundation proudly presents its First Annual Festival Showcase, Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 4:00 PM. The Foundation is raising money to support Puget Sound area School Music Programs. The fundraising program is new but plans to continue as long as there is need. The motto is MUSIC COUNTS! COUNT ME IN! Donations for this event will be divided into two parts. Ninety per cent designated to the Music Grant Fund and ten per cent divided equally among schools performing at the showcase.
The Einstein Middle School Wind Ensemble, led by Frank Halferty, will be among the select performing groups. These young musicians are dedicated to improving individual skills and working together to create a high level of ensemble work. Several of its members were recently chosen to play in the Junior All State Band.
