Two members of the , senior Tyanna DeNova and junior have been selected to the 2010-2011 All-WesCo First Team. This is the third consecutive season the two T-Birds gymnasts have earned the honor.
Due to a lack of participants, WesCo has not held a gymnastics Championship meet since 1994 prior to this season.
The Thunderbirds showed that while much has changed in the past 17 years, their place at the top of WesCo gymnastics has not.

Just as they did back in 94, the Shorewood girls won the 2011 WesCo Championship Gymnastics Meet with a team score of 139.85.
The Thunderbirds were led by DeNova and Riley.

DeNova finished with a first place finish on the uneven bars, second in the all-around and third in the vault and tied with Riley for second place in the floor routine.
Riley also notched a third place finish on beam and a fourth place in the all-around.
Junior Yvonne Chan finished in second place on beam and freshman Juliet Fisher was second in the vault and also earned a fourth place on uneven bars.
Freshman Mandy Thorsen-Hansen was third on uneven bars.
Squalicum High School finished in second place with a score of 121.652 and the Scots from Shorecrest finished third with a final tally of 117.625.
Sehome High School and Bellingham High School also competed in the event.
Shorewood’s win sends them onto the District Championships on February 12, 2011 at Sammamish High School.
Shorewood also finished ahead of the Scots in the Shoreline Cup, the gymnastics version of the Shoreline high school rivalry.
Shorewood overtook the Scots by a score of 139.85- 117.625.
