Shoreline Community College Clinches Another Road Win

Shoreline Community College clenches another road win in five sets against Whatcom Community College.

Last night the Shoreline Community College Volleyball team made the trip to Whatcom Community College and rallied to win in five sets very close sets at Orca Pavillion.

Unexpectedly SCC was without their only sophomore and the leader of the team, Lauren Deatrick once again. Deatrick normally starts as an outside hitter for the Dolphins but has been out recently. Due to an irritation of an injuring during warm-ups she was once again on the bench last night.

This was not enough to bring the Dolphins down. Sierra Ernst, who started for Deatrick, came away with six aces on the night. Arianna Garcia and Shawna Pung were both hitting over 300.00.  Everyone on the Dolphin team stepped up and made a contributions that provided them with yet another big road win.

SCC will now head home to finish out their regular season. The Dolphins will play Everett tomorrow at 7:00 pm and then Bellevue for Lauren Deatrick's Sophmore Night on Tuesday, November 6th at 7:00 pm. Be sure to be at the SCC Gym to cheer on the Dolphins as they continue to beat the odds.
