Shoreline Dolphins Soar Past Olympic

Shoreline Dolphins Soar Past Olympic 110-76

It was a great night for Shoreline Community College basketball. The Dolphins swept the Olympic College Rangers in SCC Gym tonight. The women won 73-56 putting up some of their best statistics of the year. Directly following that game the men’s team soared past Olympic with a final score of 110-76.

Many times large deficits don’t tell the whole story. This was not the case tonight. The Dolphins led the majority of the game and had leads as large as 38 points. On the night the Dolphins had a total of 28 steals and forced 35 Ranger turnovers. The

Dolphins also played with great ball movement putting up 25 total assists on the night. This was lead by Dolphin point guard Kadeem Stewart who had 10 assists and 23 points. Joshua Youngblood led the team in scoring once again with 26 points, 21 of which were from behind the arch where Youngblood shot 50%.

The Dolphins hope to continue their high-scoring win streak against the Skagit Valley Cardinals on Wednesday. Shoreline is currently 4-6 in region play and in the playoff hunt. Come out to support the Dolphins February 14th at 7:30pm as they fight to be a contender for the NWAACC Championship!
