A stretch of North 185th Street will be closed until at least this afternoon, according to city officials.

SHORELINE, WA - A car crash along North 185th Street early this morning will keep a block of the major artery closed until at least this afternoon, according to city officials. The street will be closed between Meridian and 1st Avenue Northeast due to damage to a utility pole.
According to reports, the car knocked the utility pole down at its base. The crash also caused a power outage affecting about 1,200 Seattle City Light customers. As of 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, 369 customers were still without power, and Seattle City Light estimated power would be back by 9 a.m.
North 185th will reopen by noon at the earliest, according to Shoreline officials.
