Cascade Symphony is pleased to announce that three talented high school seniors have been awarded scholarships to continue their musical education in college. David Miller, of Lake Forest Park, is a percussionist from Shorecrest High School. He is the first winner of the $2,500 scholarship in honor of Cascade Symphony’s founder Robert Anderson. David will be attending Central Washington University next fall. Jennifer Shin, flute, and Susan (Soobin) Dokko, cello, both of Mukilteo’s Kamiak High School, each won a $2,000 scholarship. Cascade Symphony’s Music Director, Michael Miropolsky presented the scholarships on stage during the orchestra’s season finale concert on May 13, 2013.
