Firefighters Put Out Fire in Shoreline Duplex

No one injured as home was vacant

Shoreline firefighters quickly controlled and then extinguished a house fire last night in the 19600 block of 20th Ave NE.

The fire was reported around 5 p.m. in one unit of a duplex building. Upon arrival, fire crews saw smoke billowing and flames visible from the unit.

According to the owner, the unit had recently been vacated by a tenant. No one was there at the time of the blaze. The cause is undetermined at this point and remains under investigation.
