  • Why go:  Come enjoy FREE guided nature activities and garden exploration with your children during the FREE family-friendly concerts in the Magnuson Amphitheater next door.  The band, Casper Babypants performs on Aug. 12th.
  • Cost:  FREE

ShoreDog Hosts 3rd Annual DogFest

  • Where/When: 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13th at the
  • Why go:  Great activities for human beings and our best woof-woof friends.  Dogs will be participating in contests such as Best Trick, Owner/Pet Look-a-Like, Best Eyes and Best Shedder.  There will also be a Doggie Pie Eating Contest and a Doggie Dash.  New this year, the Dogfest will highlight fly ball demonstrations and a doggie relay race. Dog owners will receive free hot dogs and bottled water.  In addition there is a vendor fair and pet expo.
  • Cost:  The cost of participation is $5 for one event and $10 for unlimited events.

Where/When:  3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13th at 4-Corners (intersection of Richmond Beach Road and 8th Ave NW)

  • Why go: At least 20 unique breweries are participating.  Admission includes ten 5 ounce tastes of great local craft beers.  There will be great food, non-alcoholic beverages, live music and lots of fun.  All proceeds will go to the four neighborhood associations who organize this event.  The goal of 4 Corners is to enhance and strengthen community relationships between and among the 4-Corners residents.
  • Why go:  Rain or shine, come out to mix with your community and buy some wonderful fruit, veggies, flowers and more.
  • Cost:  FREE, open to all

Concert in Greenwood Park

  • Where/When: 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 14th at Greenwood Park
  • Why go:  Arrive to hear several bands to include:  Pickled Okra and The River Rust.  Moreover, neighbors are welcome to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Community Garden with Mayor Mike McGinn.
  • Cost: FREE, open to all
