THIS CAMPAIGN:

What is the primary reason you are running for this office?

I've been an active member of the Shoreline community for the past 20 years, serving on local committees and volunteering in my children’s activities; I have also been a strong leader in the business community. This is why I am running for Shoreline City Council Position No. 2.

As a former business leader, I know how to communicate effectively and to build common ground when working with those who may not share the same ideas or goals. The Shoreline City Council has numerous goals, including working with residents to implement new development regulations, provide safe, efficient, and effective infrastructure, improve economic development, foster community engagement, and create a healthier and safer city for our families. I believe that I have the expertise to accomplish the council’s goals.

I welcome any input from community members and am committed to putting your needs and concerns at the forefront of all decisions. The City of Shoreline is where I make my home because of the wonderful people; schools, businesses, and my vested interest in helping this great city reach its full potential. As your council- member I will do my absolute best to keep the citizens of Shoreline proud of their community.

What will be your top three priorities if you get elected and why?

IMPROVING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT to bring sustainable growth to Shoreline. As a long-time business leader, William brings an open mind that can foster collaborative discussions. William’s background lends itself perfectly to improving amenities and revenue sources, all the while preserving the environment that we enjoy here in Shoreline.

INCREASING INFRASTRUCTURE AND TRANSPORTATION

will be key elements of William’s focus while working for the Citizens of Shoreline. William has not only the vision to nurture economic development, but also the infrastructure planning to optimize the existing resources and maximize connections within the community.

PROMOTE FAMILY SERVICES by maintaining our stunning parks, creating additional recreational services, and expanding programs for the youth of Shoreline. William has played a crucial role in both the establishment and management of several family-centered activities, such as; the Dale Turner YMCA, Shoreline Schools Foundation, Save Shoreline Schools Campaign and Richmond Little League. He clearly has the vision, energy, and experience to keep Shoreline the wonderful community that it has always been.

What sets you apart from the other candidates and/or previous office holders?

My real-life experience with economic development coupled with management and consulting techniques that have been utilized for various businesses has given me insight that is invaluable.

How much money do you expect your campaign to spend on this election?

I have every intention of limiting my campaign expendures to the minimum possible while running an effective and up-standing campaign.

What groups or individuals are your major endorsers?

We have strong support from the Shoreline Community.

We have to following citizens of Shoreline community members so far.
