Lake Forest Park Police Blotter: June 6-12
The following blotter items and information on arrests were selected from the Lake Forest Park Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

June 6
MISSING PERSON: A parent called the police station because her daughter had been gone all day. She said she would be home at 10am that morning. She cannot be reached by phone. She was driving a gray Lexus.
NEGLIGENCE: A crying child was found locked inside a running vehicle. Once the owner of the vehicle was found, she initially did not want potential damage done to her vehicle but then decided she wanted an officer to attempt entry.

TRESSPASSING: A young man was found walking around with a badge and clipboard trying to sell children’s books. He entered a subjects yard by opening her back gate from the Burke-Gilman Trial. He was asking her a lot of questions about her neighbors.

LOST BICYCLE: A blue Magna bike has been cabled to a light pole in front of Brookside School for three weeks. An officer obtained the serial number of the bike and it returned clear, not stolen.
DOMESTIC DISPUTE: A sales representative came to a door and heard some serious yelling between a male and female. The man and women had been dating for two years and were in a verbal argument over a vehicle, nothing physical and no damage reported.
June 8
LOST JUVENILE: A 16 year old was found lying on the sidewalk near the Civic Club. He did not know where he was at, how he got there, or what he was doing. The officer told him to call for a ride home and waited with him until he got someone on the phone.
TRANSIT VIOLATION: While stopping in heavy bumper to bumper traffic an officer observed a vehicle pass his patrol car in the bus only lane. As the officer pulled out to make a traffic stop violation the vehicle signaled to enter back into traffic lane, when he couldn’t he continued with the bus in the bus only lane. A ticket was issued to the driver.
MENTAL ISSUES: A female was found walking around a neighborhood. A resident tried to talk to her and she was unresponsive and then wasn’t making any sense. An officer was called and located her home and had someone come get her.
June 9
BARKING DOG: A male called for an officer because his neighbor’s dog would not stop barking. He barks all day and night. An Officer advised the man to refer to KCAC. They will send a petitioner to the LFP police department.
HARASSMENT: A subject was harassing customers at a local Ribs’ restaurant. He was begging for food and money. He had been warned in the past. The owner does not want him back since he has been a problem over the last year.
June 10
THEFT: a student’s laptop was taken and reported missing between Tuesday, noon, to Wednesday afternoon. The laptop is a district computer and used only in classroom.
DOG ATTACK: A couple called the police station and reported that a pit bull mix had twice run from the yard or vehicle at the 3000 block of 148th St. The dog has charged their 8 pound toy breed as they walked by the house. The owners of the dog refused to obey the leash law when asked. The information was forwarded to Animal Control.
June 11
DOMESTIC ISSUES: A female and male were engaged in a loud screaming match over the fact they both believed the other was cheating. Children were on site. There were no weapons. An officer provided divorce right’s packet and separated the couple for the night.
CAR ACCIDENT: Driving north bound on Bothell Way two vehicles sideswiped each other trying to change lanes. There were no injuries.
June 12
HOMELESS MAN: A man had been sleeping in his car and was found unresponsive with both his rear tires flat, but no body damage to the car. AAA removed the vehicle and driver.
DANGEROUS OBSTRUCTION: A box of nails was found in the middle of 522, mostly in the transit lane. Cones were placed in transit lane to advise traffic to move around the obstruction.
