Letter to the Editor: Richmond Beach Seafood Distributor Supports Salomon

Salomon would be great asset, letter writer says

To the editor:

I am writing from the perspective of a small business owner and a
resident of Richmond Beach.  I have known Jesse since my wife and I
bought our house near the Richmond Beach Library.  Since he declared
his candidacy I have followed his campaign closely.

I own a seafood distribution company and have talked a lot with him
about my business and the things that affect it.  He understands that
small businesses are a major engine of economic growth and jobs. He has
consistently expressed that it is critical that Shoreline does all it
can to support small business in through fairer tax policies and
zoning codes.

Because I am in the seafood business, I rely on strong Salmon runs to
make a living.  He understands that it is important that we work
towards a cleaner environment and a healthy Puget Sound so that this
vital economic resource is available for generations to come.

When we have discussed my concerns for Richmond Beach, he has always
expressed how unfair it feels to him for an international developer to
try and build 3,100 condo units at the end of Richmond Beach Drive.
As the only attorney who would sit on the Council and as someone who
feels deeply about the unfairness of the Point Wells development I
think he would be a great asset for us on the City Council.

Vote Jesse Salomon!
