LFP Police Blotter, June 27 - July 3
The following blotter items and information on arrests were selected from the Lake Forest Park Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

June 27
VEHICLE NEGLIGENCE: At the 3600 block of NE 155 St, the owner of a truck said that he had let a friend borrow it two days ago and he hasn’t returned the truck. He said he got a text from the friend telling him that the truck broke down in Fremont. The officer told the owner of the truck that this was not a stolen report.
VEHICLE BREAK-IN: At the 17000 block of Hamlin RD NE, a vehicle parked in a garage was broken into over night. The subjects cell phone, laptop, GPS and digital camera were taken.

THEFT: Within the last month a geo-caching coffin with contents was taken from the Acacia grounds. The coffin was placed in a granite crypt on the back of the first building by the office in the garden.

BROKEN WINDOW: A woman at the 15000 block of 38th AVE, woke suddenly when a rock hit her bedroom french door glass, breaking the outside window pane. There was a possibility that a car or truck’s wheels may have thrown the rock up against her window as it drove by.
THEFT: At the 14000 block of Bothell Way NE, a woman claimed her son was stealing from her elderly mother. Her son is a heroin user and has stolen his grandmother’s car and other items in the past, but this was the first time the mother has reported the theft.
JUNE 29
JUVENILE PRANK: At the 16000 block of Beach Dr. NE, a woman said that the last week or so (since school has been out) kids have been ringing her doorbell at around 10pm to 1pm. The game is called ‘Ding dong ditch’. She ran after the subjects once and saw that they were girls.
COMPLAINT: At the 17000 block of Ballinger Way NE, a pedestrian was very concerned cyclists were not dismounting when riding on the sidewalk along the west side of SR-104, even though signs were posted that read ‘Caution Bicycle Dismount’.
JUNE 30
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: At the 19000 block of 21st AVE NE, a man called claiming there was a suspicious vehicle with a person sitting in the front driver seat. He had been at that location for 2 hours. An officer arrived on the scene and confronted the man in the car, letting him know of the concern. The man in the car claimed he was in the process of moving into his new home and was waiting for a moving truck. He apologized and understood why the locals may be concerned.
COMPLAINT: At the 2600 block of NE 195th St, a resident called complaining about loud music coming from his neighbor’s house. He confronted his neighbor who yelled at him and slammed the door in his face.
POWER LINE STRUCK: A garbage truck making the rounds struck a low hanging power line at 2600 block of NE 195th St. Firemen assisted in freeing the truck, then marked the low power line with yellow tape and notified Qwest.
JULY 1
ASSULT: At the Barclay Group Home a client attacked one the staff. The staff member was trying to give the client her meds, which she did not take, and she started hitting the staff member. The staff member said that officers were out a couple weeks ago for the same issue. The woman was taken to the hospital for evaluation but she was released since she had calmed by the time she arrived. The woman is non-responsive, non-verbal, with mental and emotional issues.
ALTERCATION: A husband was embarrassed by his wife’s behavior in the bank at 17000 block of Bothell Way NE. As they were walking out she pulled on his backpack strap but no assault occurred. Although upset, both husband and wife explained their marital issues and family issues back in China. The husband was on the way to the airport to assist in family issues. The wife was worried he wouldn’t come back for her. While talking with the officers the wife got very emotional and started yelling at both officers and husband. The wife was placed in handcuffs for her safety and the officers.
VIOLATION: Two walkers were found on the closed portion of the Burke Gilman trail at the 16000 block. The officer talked with the two subjects about the closure of the area.
JULY 2
WARNING: An officer stopped at the 3500 block of 155th St and gave the rider a warning for not having a helmet or light on his bike.
TRAFFIC VIOLATION: At the McDonalds at the 14000 block of Bothell way NE, a vehicle failed to yield to an emergency vehicle. A ticket was issued
JULY 3
VEHICLE BREAK-IN: At the 2900 block of 178th St, a vehicle had its passenger window broken out. A splitter and a radar detection device were taken.
FIREWORKS: Juveniles at NE 165th ST, were found lighting off bottle rockets. The officers confiscated the bottle rockets.
