Man Dies After Train Collision In Shoreline

The crash happened Sunday afternoon near The Highlands golf club.

SHORELINE, WA - Shoreline fire officials say a man in his 40s died Sunday afternoon after he was hit by a train in the southwest part of the city.

The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. along tracks near The Highlands golf course that run along Puget Sound. Tracks in that area carry freight trains and Sound Transit Sounder trains.

This is the second train-related death this week. Last Saturday, a woman in Edmonds died after a train hit her near the ferry dock. The Snohomish County medical examiner has ruled her death a suicide.
