McConnell Has Raised More, Way Spent More in Position 4 Council Race
Race between former Councilwoman Way and current Councilwoman McConnell, Shoreline's second most expensive this election
Shoreline City Council Position 4 incumbent has raised more money than challenger , but Way has outspent McConnell so far to unseat her, so far according to Public Disclosure Commission records.
McConnell has raised $16,520 total with $13,707 in cash contributions. She has used no personal money.
Way has raised $12,533 with $10,722 in cash contributions. She has only used $16 of her own money.Â

Way has spent $9,539 so far compared to McConnell's $5,421.Â
Way's largest expense has been payments to her campaign manager, Angela Henry, of $4,414.Â

McConnell's largest expense has been $3,238 to her democratic political campaign consultant, The Connections Group, whose CEO is Cathy Allen.Â
McConnell's largest donors are: the Washington Association of Realtors PAC ($800), the Affordable Housing Council ($500), insurance broker Mark Carlstrom ($500), real estate developer Tom McCormick of the Touchstone Corp. ($300) and dentist James O'Hanlon ($300). She's also received $250 from attorney Michael L. Jacobs, the president of the Innis Arden Club, $250 from James Alan Salon & Spa and $200 from former Councilman Paul Grace.
Way's largest donors are: the Amalgamated Transitworkers Union #587 ($800), Elaine Phelps ($800) and Bob Phelps ($800) active members of the 32nd District Democrats, John Sims owner of Frank Lumber—The Door Store ($750), the 32nd District Democrats ($400), attorney James Hardman ($200), former Shoreline School Board member and tanning salon owner Dan Mann ($200) and gardener Nancy Morrison ($200).
